Referral Partner & Franchise Terms

1. No Joining Fee, No Deposit

• MarathiVivah charges you nothing to become or remain a partner — no joining fee, no deposit, no franchise fee, no security amount, and no compulsory purchase of any kind.
• If anyone asks you to pay money in order to become a MarathiVivah partner, that demand is not authorised by us. Report it to us immediately.
• Your earnings depend on registrations you actually bring. Nothing is payable by you in advance, at any stage.

2. What You Earn

Partner earnings work in two ways. Which one applies to you at any time is shown on your partner dashboard and on the signup page:

• A fixed amount per approved registration — payable when a person who signed up through your link or code completes registration and their profile passes our review. The current rate is always displayed on the referral partner signup page.
• A revenue share of 40% — if and when paid memberships are introduced, you receive 40% of the net amount MarathiVivah actually receives from paying customers attributable to you.

The 40% revenue share is not in effect yet and nothing is payable under it at present. Registration on MarathiVivah is currently free, so there is no customer revenue to share. The revenue share begins only from a date MarathiVivah notifies you of by email or on your dashboard, and applies only to payments received on or after that date. Until then, the fixed per-registration amount in the first bullet above is the only thing you earn.

When it does begin, 40% is calculated on money actually received by MarathiVivah — after refunds, chargebacks, payment-gateway charges and applicable taxes — not on amounts invoiced or promised.

MarathiVivah does not promise, project or guarantee any level of income. What you earn depends entirely on how many genuine registrations you bring and whether they are approved.

3. The Share Can Change or End

• The 40% share and the fixed per-registration amount are not permanent. MarathiVivah may change either of them at any time.
• Because the revenue share has not started, no entitlement to it builds up in the meantime. MarathiVivah may change the percentage, or decide never to introduce it at all, and no arrears are owed for any period before the date we notify.
• MarathiVivah may pause, restructure or discontinue the partner programme entirely, at any time.
• Changes apply going forward only. Amounts you have already earned and that have already been approved will be paid at the rate that applied when they were earned.
• Material changes will be notified by email or on your dashboard. Continuing to participate after that constitutes acceptance.

4. You Must Not Charge Families Anything

This is the most important rule here, and breaking it results in immediate termination.

• You must not collect money, commission, brokerage, "registration charges", or gifts from any family or individual for registering on MarathiVivah, viewing profiles, or being connected with a match.
• You must not charge for anything MarathiVivah currently provides free.
• You must not demand brokerage or a percentage after a marriage is arranged.
• Your income comes from MarathiVivah only — never from the families you refer.
• If you separately run your own business (photography, a hall, catering, an existing marriage bureau), you must make clear to families that it is entirely separate from MarathiVivah, and you must not present MarathiVivah services as something they have to pay you for.

5. Honest Referrals Only

• Do not create fake, duplicate or fictitious profiles.
• Do not register anyone without their knowledge and consent, or a parent/guardian acting genuinely on their behalf.
• Do not enter false details for age, caste, education, income, marital status or family background.
• Do not register yourself or family members solely to generate a payout.
• Registrations of this kind are marked Not Eligible and are not paid. Repeated cases end your partnership.

6. Termination for Fraud or Illegal Conduct

Your partner account will be terminated immediately and without notice, and pending payouts withheld, if you are found to be involved in any of the following:

• Fraud, misrepresentation, or a scam of any kind.
• Extracting money from families, or collecting money in the name of MarathiVivah.
• Demanding or facilitating dowry, in violation of the Dowry Prohibition Act, 1961.
• Facilitating child marriage or registering anyone below the legal age of marriage.
• Selling, sharing, exporting or otherwise misusing member data.
• Harassment, intimidation, sexual misconduct, or promoting hatred on the basis of caste, religion or community.
• Impersonating MarathiVivah, or misusing our name, logo or branding.
• Any other unlawful activity.

In serious cases we will report the matter to the police or the relevant authorities and cooperate fully with any investigation. Termination on these grounds does not limit any other legal remedy available to MarathiVivah or to an affected family.

7. Member Data — Your Obligations

As a partner you will handle other people's personal information — biodata, photographs, identity documents, phone numbers. Under the Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023, MarathiVivah remains the data fiduciary for that information and is answerable for it. You are therefore required to:

• Use member information only for the purpose the family gave it for — finding a match on MarathiVivah.
• Never sell, rent, publish, or share it with any third party, including another marriage bureau or matrimony platform.
• Not keep your own copies — no member lists on personal phones, laptops, WhatsApp groups, spreadsheets or paper registers beyond what is needed for an active introduction.
• Destroy any copies you do hold when your partnership ends, and confirm to us that you have done so.
• Tell us within 48 hours if you suspect member information has been lost, leaked or accessed by someone who should not have it.
• Forward to us any request from a family to access, correct or delete their information — those requests are ours to action.

Misuse of member data is treated as grounds for immediate termination under clause 6, and may carry personal liability for you under the DPDP Act.

8. You Are Independent, Not an Employee

• You are an independent contractor. You are not an employee, agent, partner or joint-venturer of MarathiVivah.
• You are not entitled to salary, allowances, provident fund, insurance, leave, or any employment benefit.
• You have no authority to enter into contracts, make promises, quote prices, or accept obligations on behalf of MarathiVivah.
• You are responsible for your own income tax, GST registration where applicable, and any other statutory compliance. MarathiVivah may deduct TDS where the law requires it.

9. How and When You Are Paid

• Payouts are currently processed manually, by UPI or bank transfer.
• An amount becomes payable only after the referred person's profile is approved — not when they merely sign up.
• One payout per unique person referred.
• There is no fixed payout date. The status of every referral — Pending, Approved, or Paid — is visible on your dashboard.
• We cannot pay you until your UPI or bank details are saved on your dashboard. MarathiVivah is not responsible for delays or misdirected payments caused by details you entered incorrectly.
• We may withhold a payout while a referral is being investigated for fraud, and cancel it if fraud is established.

10. Use of the MarathiVivah Name

• You may describe yourself as a "MarathiVivah referral partner" and share your referral link.
• You may not describe yourself as a branch, office, owner, franchisee-in-law or authorised representative of MarathiVivah unless we have agreed that in writing.
• You may not register a website, domain, social media account, business name or advertisement using the MarathiVivah name or logo.
• The trading name you display on your own signup page must be a business you genuinely operate. Stop all use of our name and branding as soon as your partnership ends.

11. Territory

• Partnerships are currently non-exclusive. More than one partner may operate in the same city, taluka or district, and MarathiVivah may itself operate there.
• Any exclusive territory is granted only by a separate written agreement signed by MarathiVivah. No verbal assurance, WhatsApp message or expectation of exclusivity is binding.

12. Approval, Suspension and Ending the Partnership

• Every application is reviewed. MarathiVivah may decline an application at its discretion and is not obliged to give a reason.
• Your referral link does not attribute signups until approved.
• You may end your partnership at any time by emailing us. Doing so does not forfeit amounts already approved.
• MarathiVivah may end your partnership on 15 days' notice for any reason, or immediately and without notice for the conduct listed in clause 6.
• On ordinary termination, approved amounts are paid in the normal course. On termination under clause 6, pending amounts may be withheld.
• Clauses 7 (member data), 8 (independent contractor), 10 (name), 13 (liability) and 15 (jurisdiction) survive the end of your partnership.

13. Limitation of Liability

• MarathiVivah gives no guarantee of income of any kind.
• MarathiVivah is not liable for loss of expected earnings arising from downtime, technical faults, changes to the programme, or its discontinuation.
• MarathiVivah's total liability to you is limited to the total amount paid to you in the six months before the claim arose.
• You indemnify MarathiVivah against any claim, penalty or loss arising from your breach of these terms, your dealings with families, or your handling of member data.

14. Changes to These Terms

MarathiVivah may update these terms at any time. Material changes will be notified by email or on your partner dashboard. Continuing as a partner after that constitutes acceptance of the updated terms. The date at the top of this page shows when it was last changed.

15. Governing Law & Jurisdiction

These terms are governed by the laws of India. Any dispute is subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts at Kolhapur, India. We ask that you contact us first so we can try to resolve the matter directly.
